Event Sponsorship Request

AY 2024-2025

The OIE funds we provide to our OIE affiliated Orgs are to be utilized exclusively on campus initiatives aimed at cultivating an inclusive and equity-oriented culture among medical trainees.  

Funds we provide should be directed toward resources and activities that foster inclusive excellence within DGSOM. 

• Requests up to a total of $1,500 max over the Nov 1^st - Oct 31^st calendar year is available to OIE affiliated student orgs. Funds reset once new leadership is established.  

• Funds are typically used for food, printing and supplies   

• Funds cannot be used for personal reimbursements, gift cards for students & UCLA affiliates, alcohol, or any personal conference expenses.  

Per finance requirements, the submission deadline for internal vendors is 4 weeks and external vendors is 6 weeks ahead of event date.  

Approvals 

• Approvals will be provided within 2-4 days via email. Please reply to any questions as soon as possible to prevent any delays. RSVP’s must be emailed by date provided in your approval email.  

• Please note that staff may occasionally be out of the office and may not respond until they return. Be sure to allow extra time for a response in such cases..  

• If you are submitting a community engagement event engaging any groups outside of DGSOM, you are required to submit to SAO (Student Affairs Office) and provide us a copy of the approval. If you have not done so please click here prior to submitting your request here for OIE funding.  

  When using OIE funds for community engagement events, you will be required to submit your community engagement approval notice.
